ABOUT US
At Trinity on the Rio Grande, we believe that the heart of our community is in the prayer we share together, the prayers we offer with and for each other. If you have a need for prayer, please let us know here, and it will be offered in a weekly time of prayer with clergy and vestry members. All requests will be treated with great respect and kept confidential.

Sermon for September 8th, 2024
Come and join us for reverent worship, share in the sacramental life of the church, and explore God's life-changing word. This Sunday we look at Mark 7:31-37. Perhaps you know someone wandering through life only vaguely attached to their faith who has not experienced the awe and wonder of the Christian life. They have not appropriated all that is theirs as sons and daughters of God. Frederick Edward Marsh (1858-1931) has listed some of these blessings:

An acceptance that can never be questioned. (Eph. 1:6).
An inheritance that can never be lost (I Peter 1:3-5).
A deliverance that can never be excelled (2 Cor. 1:10).
A grace that can never be limited (2 Cor. 12:9).
A hope that can never be disappointed. (Heb. 6:18, 19).
A bounty that can never be withdrawn. (1 Col. 3:21-23).
A joy that need never be diminished (John 15:11).
A nearness to God that can never be reversed (Eph. 2:13).
A peace that can never be disturbed (John 14:27).
A righteousness that can never be tarnished (2 Cor. 5:21).
A salvation that can never be canceled (Heb. 5:9).

Sermon for September 1st, 2024
Come and join us at 10:00 for reverent worship, to share in the sacramental life of the church, and explore God's word. This Sunday we look at Mark 7:1-23. Have you ever been told you are okay as long as you keep certain rules, achieve certain goals others may set for you, do or don't do certain things? What is it that defiles us?
Sermon for August 25, 2024

Join us this Sunday at TRG at 10:00 for reverent worship, Holy Communion, and exploration of God's word. Have you ever had people turn their back on you during difficult times or when they did not understand you? Jesus encountered that and was abandoned. What can we learn from Peter's response about the nature of a true follower of Christ?
John 6:60-69

Sermon for August 18, 2024
Please join us for Holy Communion and to hear the Word of God read and preached. This Sunday we unpack Ephesians 5:15:20. St. Paul answers the question of how we are to live in times of uncertainty and conflict.

What to Expect
We are a casual congregation; dress comfortably. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to enjoy a time of prayer and reflection before the service begins.
Participation in the Service
You might see participants bowing to the Cross before sitting down, making the sign of the cross, kneeling, and standing at different points during the Communion. Don't feel obligated to participate with every physical part of the service. You are welcome to try to follow along but can choose to sit and quietly observe as well.
Bulletin/Order of Service
Receiving Communion or a Blessing
Pick up a bulletin at the entry to the chapel. It will guide you through the order of service, indicating when to sit, stand, or kneel. This will direct your participation in corporate prayers and hymns.
Normally, Communion is for those who have received the Sacrament of Baptism. If you are a visitor with us today and are a baptized Christian, we invite you to come forward to receive Communion. If you are visiting today, but are not baptized, we invite you to come forward and to receive a blessing with your arms folded across your chest. You are always free to remain in your seat.
